My Why
My name is Myron Benally, and I am a Diné (Navajo) educator. My identity, community, and experiences shape my purpose as an educator. I have seen disparities in educational access both on and off the reservation, and those experiences have driven my commitment to providing equitable opportunities for all students.
My Beliefs About Learning
I believe that teaching and learning are powerful tools that shape identity, confidence, and opportunity. Every student deserves to feel valued and capable. Learning should be inclusive, engaging, and empowering.
My Approach to Teaching
My teaching is grounded in three core principles: community, identity, and growth. I prioritize building relationships, creating inclusive environments, and supporting students in connecting their learning to their own experiences. I use a variety of instructional strategies, including inquiry-based learning and collaboration, to meet diverse learning needs.
My Growth as an Educator
